Wilshire’s apple Shed…
was the very first road side stand in Oak Glen. Guests would travel from all over the IE to visit the Wilshire family and purchase bags of their famous farm grown apples. The original shed roof can still be seen from the middle of mercantile building.
The Wilshire’s were the original pioneering family. The purchased 3,000 acres in scenic Oak Glen in 1871. Their family continued to farm and operate small businesses on the mountain until the mid 1980’s.
Riley Family Enterprises…
The Riley Family (operators of Los Rios Rancho, Riley’s Frontier Events, Wilshire’s Apple Shed, and Oak Glen Cider Co) is a legacy of “Agrotourism”. The main goal of Riley Family Enterprises (RFE) is to Showcase and breathe life back into farm properties that have rich histories and have impacted the Oak Glen Community. We strive to preserve a past heritage to showcase for future generations. As a family enterprise, we seek to foster memory making and family experiences in a positive down-to-earth environment.
Shop proprietors
Rebekah and Jon Bastedo, excitedly operate the historic Wilshire’s Apple Shed along with various other departments at Los Rios Rancho. Both graduated from Cal Baptist University with degrees in Marketing and Business. They are excited to bring new life to a well-loved farm shop!
